Hi guys, Just wanted to post our final update of the year and wish you all HAPPY HOLIDAYS! We've now been Georgians for almost 4 months and are still loving it.
Shannon's really liking Delta and is starting to really get into the swing of things now that he's done with most of his training. If you're ever in town, he gives a pretty great tour of the TechOps facilities, and it's really cool to see the jets close up, so give him a call! He's at Cartersville Dam today with some of his r/c guys doing some 'dynamic soaring' ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_soaring) because the cold front brought some pretty excellent wind with it that's made for perfect conditions at the dam. He was pretty excited about that ;)
My (Mary) last day with UAB was Friday, and they gave me a gnome statue with beer caps glued to him, which I of course made them all pose with and have attached here for your viewing pleasure. In other news, I just accepted a new position Friday as a Grants & Awards Specialist with the ACR Research & Education Foundation here in Atlanta. I start in January so I'll keep you all posted as to how that goes. I'm very excited but definitely looking forward to having the next couple of weeks off to enjoy the holidays and a break from work!
We hope you're all doing well and please know you're in our thoughts and prayers this holiday season. We hope to see you soon!
