Update # 5

Time for another update! The new year is flying by already... tomorrow's February 1! Hard to believe, eh? I (Mary) started my new job on Jan. 2 and am loving it so far. I receive grant applications and organize the study sections to review them, then manage them on the funding end through completion. My first grant deadline is tomorrow and I'm expecting 50+ applications so it's definitely been exciting! Next big deadline is in August, but there's plenty to do till then with portfolio reviews and progress reports and such. Fun stuff! Shannon's still loving Delta and is still learning a lot. He's really gotten into the swing of this engineer thing, and he's also become quite proficient in his tour-giving, so if you're ever in town just give him a call =) It's a really cool place to work, and to tour. He's been gearing up for an r/c airplane build and is finalizing his design but will start building soon... hopefully it will be a little warmer by then since his workbench is in the basement! Opening day @ Turner Field is March 31 for anyone interested! We'll be sporting our Braves jerseys so come check us out!
