Moms are always right

Mary's mom was in town a couple weekends ago, and we had a great visit, filled with wonderful weather, food and wine, an inaugural trip to Gibbs Gardens, and of course great company.

The subject inevitably turns to plants (after family, food and wine - and maybe some religion, sports and politics mixed in). With the weather colder than usual the past few weeks, Mary was remarking that the dogwoods still seemed dormant. Her mom noted that they would bloom in time for Easter, but Mary was skeptical. Lo and behold, just a week before Easter, the dogwoods came to life and started blooming :)

When will we learn.... Mom is always right!
