We're already in to our second month as Georgians so thought it was time for another update! In our first month, we experienced Braves Baseball, MARTA, lawnmowing and of course hour-long traffic delays. So far in our second month we've experienced 1 state park, Little 5 Points, the HOV lane, and an exhibitionist. Hurrah!Shannon's liking work and was apparently elected Safety Coordinator for his department (before he even got there;) But they had their first fire drill last week and he got to hold up the fire drill pole, which was huge and there's been talk of making a badge so I'll keep you posted on that. He has officially mastered the lawn mower and I think he even likes it. He hasn't discovered any great places to slope soar around here yet, but is praying every day for a good westerly wind so he can drive up to the dam at Carter's Lake so if you know anyone who can arrange that, help a guy out.
Last weekend we checked out Little 5 Points and loved it. We ate @ The Vortex, which was awesome as promised (mad props to Jewel & DGP for the recommendation). Great burgers and atmosphere. We found a very nice park nearby (Candler Park) and took Riley back with us, she loved it. We also made it out to Sweetwater Creek State Park, which was very cool. Posting a pic from our trip here. The trail runs along the riverside and it's really beautiful.
Well that's all for this edition, but we hope you're all doing well and come visit sooooon!!!
