Update # 3

Hello Friends & Family!

Welcome to the Wheatleys take Atlanta, Volume 3.

We can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving already, and we've been in Atlanta for almost three months now. It's been a busy month for sure… we've been doing some traveling, and are starting to get the hang of non-revving, as it's called. You can read all about it at http://flyingwheats.blogspot.com :) Between travelling, working, housekeeping, and still learning our way around, we've definitely been staying busy! But we're loving every minute of it.
As you've probably seen on the news, we're still very much in the middle of the much-hyped "Drought Watch 2007" and in constant fear of having no water to drink or bathe in. But other than that, Atlanta is good :) Centennial Olympic Park (and all the shopping malls;) are all lit up for Christmas and you should all come see how pretty it is here... even with the drought, the leaves are gorgeous right now. You know, because it's so different here than in Birmingham. Admit it, you've got nothin.
Sidebar (completely Atlanta related): Have you guys noticed the Falcons are winning again?! Who needs Michael Vick anyway? ;)
So back to the update... We've found a great Church that we love called Buckhead Church and it's actually a satellite campus of North Point, also in Atlanta. The pastor is Andy Stanley, and he's great. We actually watch the message recorded at NorthPoint every Sunday, but we have our own live praise and worship band that is seriously like a rock concert every morning, and also our own kid's programs and small groups. There's a satellite campus in Birmingham too in case anyone's interested in checking it out. I know a few people who've checked it out and really like it too; it's called it's called Redstone Church and they meet at Workplay which is pretty sweet. You should go, and then we can all go to Church together ;) Here's the link for more info: http://www.redstonechurch.org/templates/cusredstone/default.asp?id=33765

Well, that's all for now... Hope that everyone has a very happy holiday with family & friends. We'll be thinking of you all and are thankful for each one of you :) We hope to see you soon!
